PLEASE HELP! B is the midpoint of AC and D is the midpoint of CE. Solve for x, given BD = 3x + 5 and AE = 4x + 20. I have the picture if needed.

4x+20=2(3x+5) 4x+20=6x+10 ... distribute 4x=6x+10-20 ... Subtract 20 from both sides. 4x-6x=10-20 ... Subtract 6x from both sides. -2x=10-20 ... Combine like terms on the left side -2x=-10 ... Combine like terms on the right side x=(-10)/(-2) ... Divide both sides by -2 to isolate x. x=5 ... reduce
