I'm having a little trouble with a question. The line crosses the y-axis at 3 and has a slope of 4. I was trying to use the y=mx+b formula but I'm lost. Can anyone please help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you have done so far??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not much i'm lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok look you can use y= mx+b formula directly here m=4 and b=3 can you do it now??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand that part but then I'm not sure after that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok by putting m=4 and b= 3 in y=mx+b we get y=4x+3--------> required equation of line that passes through y-axis at 3 and slope =4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the y=4x+3 is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesssss

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I think i'm really over thinking this. I had that answer a long time ago and thought I needed to do more. Thanks for the help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its straight answer nothing to do more. you are welcomeeeeeeee
