"i dream of a world Where the skies are blue and meadows are green where rivers run through" - This stanza talks about how the environment of Earth should be. *When you dream, it's something you want to see or achieve, yet it's just a vision. What we can see today is far from what we can read from the stanza. The attributes stated above are on the positive side and is far from reality because of the environmental problems faced by our planet. "i dream of a earth golden with grain where fields are kissed by sunshine and rain" - Just like the first stanza, this one is pretty much related to it. Golden with grain can be in relation with the food supply because of the color of the grains when harvested wherein the primary source of food which is bread/rice comes from. The next line relates to farming. As far as I'm concerned with the news I hear everyday, the climate changes and it generally affects the fields having uneven development of the crops or grains; thus, resulting to a shortage in the food supply. Moreover, it talks of having the normal routine of nature for it to support our basic needs particularly food. "i can hear children play with songs and laughter i can see people pray in peace and freedom a world that is free from hunger and want from hatred and greed from terror and war" - This one talks about people and activities they engaged in. You can see children play, but not with songs and laughter anymore like it used to be before because of modern technologies. You can see them play, just by themselves but through gadgets often; consequently, degrading their actual social development. Being aware of world news, you may hear something about uprisings all around the world and it is the opposite of the next lines. Peace and freedom - the world needs these. Next stanza is just the details of having peace and freedom in the world that we all dream of. "i believe people can live and work together as a member of a family loving each other we have but one hope one source of life one planet earth one sky above" - The stanza is more than just dreaming. It goes to the level of believing which is stronger. It's not just about what people should do and be, but it's about the vital sense of humanity. The basis of the society for living. Everyone has one hope, one source of life, one planet Earth, and one sky above meaning we all share something in common leading to one destination, so why won't we be ONE? "we are the guardians of the future we are citizens of the world people of god..." - As we all share something in common, we head towards one responsibility. People must establish the need to protect what we have today for the sake of the next generation, to be united with one another regardless of race, gender or any specification, and lastly, to serve God. The last line has the greatest impact of all. The responsibility given to us by God is to have faith and follow Him, but it also includes spreading and sharing his Word contributing to the WORLD the author dreams about and the condition the author believes in. To sum it up, It's about a vision of a perfect world or "absolute perfection". It can also be the state of being we can all achieve.
