Well referencing the picture, the domain (or x axis) will be all real numbers because it spans infinitely along that axis. The range is the more difficult part, there is a gap in the middle that is not included in the range which is the area between 3 and -3 on the y axis so the parameters for the range are ( -∞ to -3 ] U [ 3 to ∞ ). Where the 'U' essentially means skip over anything less than 3 but greater than -3.
