Lisa, Bree, and Caleb are meeting at an amusement park. They each enter at a different gate. On this diagram of the park, explain where the friends can meet so that each walks the same distance from the gate to their meeting point.

i know you make a triangle from all those points..but what do you do next?

from there go from one gate to the middle of the other two gates (AKA people)

so your finding the midpoints from an angle... wait a sec, thats a... median! haha fun

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused..:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain what you did in words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like step by step? if u could..:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah (sorry i just learned this a couple weeks ago.) So basically, your just finding the centroid of the triangle. remember that the centroid is the place where all the medians cross, and a median is from one angle to the midpoint of it's opposite side:|dw:1354668878562:dw|

does that make sense? here, |dw:1354669018856:dw|
