Wireless communication Q1) What are the differences between different spectrum?

OpenStudy (callisto):

@nincompoop

OpenStudy (callisto):

telecom

OpenStudy (callisto):

Nope..

OpenStudy (callisto):

I have the same pic in the ppt... But the teacher didn't talk much about it..

OpenStudy (callisto):

I was typing something, but that didn't seem right..

OpenStudy (callisto):

Different devices => different freq. to operate (Probably this is wrong already) Bandwidth = freq??

OpenStudy (callisto):

Thanks for your help! But l guess I need more time to understand it :(

hartnn (hartnn):

Bandwidth of a device is the 'range' of frequencies for which the device will generate a 'desirable' output. Designing a device has Bandwidth specifications, depending on which the components used for designing will differ OR the dimensions of a devise will change. example : Designing a filter for different bandwidth will have resistors and capacitors of different values. Designing a micro-strip antenna of different center frequency and bandwidth will have different length , width, height of substrate, and slit dimensions,if any.

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, i addressed her 'Bandwidth = freq??' issue.

hartnn (hartnn):

does the original question demand differences between various spectrums like radio, optical, UV , X-rays, Gamma-rays....... coz allocation was only discussed.

OpenStudy (callisto):

The question is ''what are the differences between different spectrum (telecom)?'' The teacher answered it once, but very quickly and I couldn't catch his words..
