There is no such thing as THE function rule.  There are INFINITELY many!

Notice how the y-value increases by four (4) every time the x-value increases by one (1)?

I know the y value increases by 4 for every increase of 1 for the x values.But I have to find AN equation that works for thje graph but I need help figuring it out.@tkhunny

ohh, well x jump 1, y jump 4 ..that means y = 4x + C  (C is a constant) ...i guess it's the first degree equation because you haven't even learn slope form yet...now all you need to do is figure out C .
