The sum of the areas of the lateral (vertical) faces of a cylinder, cone, frustum or the like is the lateral area of the box. The surface area is the sum of the area of all of the faces. \[S.A. = (15*2.26)(2) + (6*2.26)(2) + (15*6)(2) = 67.8 + 27.12 + 180 = 274.92\] \[L.A. = (15∗2.26)(2)+(6∗2.26)(2) = 67.8+27.12 = 94.92\]
