I need help on Five questions so if you can stay with me just for five questions!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

post all of them here :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey hello

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Om thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The interest that Julia earns on her investment is given by the equation I = 48t where t is the time in years that her money is invested. She makes a table to determine how much money she would earn for different values of t. If one of the values for t she selects is 5, what would be her corresponding entry for I? (Points : 1) 53 240 485 9.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to help solve it to! cause i need to learn :D

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Plug in t=5 into the equation they give you. \[I=48t\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its 240!

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok next one!

The interest that Julia earns on her investment is given by the equation I = 48t where t is the time in years that her money is invested. She makes a table to determine how much money she would earn for different values of t. If one of the values for t she selects is 12, what would be her corresponding entry for I? (Points : 1) 4 60 4812 576

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 576?

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i got it correct :D

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Next one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok one second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Calib received $50 for his birthday that he put in his piggy bank. Each week, he puts 2 more dollars in his bank so that the amount of money in dollars D in his bank is given by D = 2w + 50 where w is the number of weeks. His sister Lara makes a table of reasonable values for w to determine how much money Calib will eventually have. If one of the values for w Lara selects is 14, what would be her corresponding entry for D? (Points : 1) 264 66 78 57

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To be clear the second question i got right right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 78?

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Yes you got it right. :) And you got this third one correct too!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sweet 2 more!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If one of the values for w Lara selects is 44, what would be her corresponding entry for D? (Points : 1) 138 96 77 294

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 138?

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok one more!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Calib received $50 for his birthday that he put in his piggy bank. Each week, he puts 2 more dollars in his bank so that the amount of money in dollars D in his bank is given by D = 2w + 50 where w is the number of weeks. Is this model linear, and, if so, what is the slope and y-intercept? (Points : 1) linear: slope = 50, y-intercept = 2 linear: slope = 2, y-intercept = 50 linear: slope = 25, y-intercept = 0 not linear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok this might be alittle difficult!

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Do you know the linear equation?

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

In general form I mean.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is Y=mx+b

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Good.. And what is m and b in that general form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sinc eits not the right variables i guessing they are subsituting diffrent letetrs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the slope is 2 and the y intercept is 50

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

That's correct! y=mx+c the letters don't matter it's the form that matters.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am thinking thats W kinda resembles XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i put XD i mean the W resembles X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok one second
