whats a function
yes
WHAT IT WAS B !!!! dis chit man lol
I think the temperature is a function of time, i.e. B.
: (n) function, mathematical function, single-valued function, map, mapping ((mathematics) a mathematical relation such that each element of a given set (the domain of the function) is associated with an element of another set (the range of the function))
It is a lousy question, but they want you to think like this: The longer coffee sits on a desk (this is time) the cooler it becomes. (this is temperature) if you know the time, you can figure out the temperature temperature = function of time (put time into a magic formula to get temperature)
The reason it is a lousy question is I can imagine going the other way, give me temperature and I'll tell you how long it was sitting.... but as written, they are saying "time --> (maps to) temperature"
MATHEMATICALLY TRUE. The premise asserts a connection between (longer) times and (lower) tempertures.
