Identify why the projected world population will decrease in the coming years. (1 point) Families are having fewer children <-------------his is because families use contraceptives to get rid of kids and also both members of the marriage go off and find jobs, so less time for them and their kids.. Reproductive health measures have improved. The disease rate is overtaking the global population growth rate. both A and B Identify one reason why urbanization is on the rise. (1 point) Cities are less prone to natural disasters. Cities offer more opportunities for employment. <-----the biggest reason for this is because people want to move where they can make more money. :) Housing is less expensive in cities. Rural areas don't offer good schools.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For #2, there are two answers in my opinion. B and D. D because yes, most of the time cities offer better schooling than countries and that's what a lot of people want. An opportunity to learn and educate their kids. But again employment is what everyone wants in the end. So B is the "better" answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Most likely one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I'm going with false.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, so it was A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True or false: The U.S. has been a safe haven for many refugees, particularly in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. (1 point) true false This one is false, because there were many times when the US has turned away refugees, and also when the US deports people back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Identify the correct definition for “globalization." (1 point) when a cultural trait is adopted, but not the culture itself the rapid, broad spreading of customs, values, and traditions <----This is it. when a minority culture takes on the culture of the majority <---the term for this one is assimilation. You will learn later. :) when distinct groups of people live in the same area
