factor 12p^4+61p^3q+5p^q^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are 2 variables here. BTW, is that the correct equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says factor the trinomial by grouping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you draw out the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the right question

Ya, That's different from what you wrote.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea sorry the question is 12p^4+61p^3q+5p^2q^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it was 5p^2 at the end? If I would factor this, I would factor out p^2 Which should give me: p^2(12p^2+61pq+5q^2) Now you can factor the inside of the parentheses and get: p^2(p+5q)(12p+q)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it worked

Cool
