difference between facilitated diffusion and active diffusion

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Facilitated diffusion is also known as passive-mediated transport which means that the molecules can't go towards the concentration gradient, and does not use energy. Active diffusion or active transport is where we use energy in order to move molecules from low concentration to high concentration, in order words, against the concentration gradient.
