1. 4x + 6 < -6 4x < -6 - 6 4x < -12 x < - 3 2. - 2/5 x - 9 < 9/10 - 2/5 x < 9/10 + 9 - 2/5 x < 99/10 x > (99/10) divided by - 2/5 x > 99/10 x - 5/2 x > - 99/4 3. q + 12 - 2(q - 22) >0 q + 12 - 2q + 44 > 0 - q +56 > 0 (-1) -q > - 56 q < 56

But # 2 Should Be x> -24 3/4. I Just Need To Know How The Teacher Got This Answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer I got was x > - 99/4 which when changed from an improper fraction to a mixed number is - 24 3/4. Some teachers prefer improper fractions while others prefer mixed numbers. Your teacher prefers mixed numbers therefore the answer is x > - 24 3/4.
