This question is from my Algebra 1 class I'm teaching right now. My students want to see how this works: Graph the following exponential function y=0.75^x

If you have a table of values for x and y (which you can easily get by plugging into the equation) and if they know or you want to teach them about natural log, you can convert this equation into the equation for a line by taking the log of both sides: ln(y) = x* ln(.75) can be rewritten as ln(y) = mx where m = ln(.75) instead of plotting y vs x, you can plot lny vs x. The graph will show the same thing, but will be a line, thus easier to understand
