State whether the command is formal ("Ud.") or informal ("tú"). Come la sopa.

This is how we conjugate the verb "comer" -- (Yo) COMO (Tú) COMES (Él/Ella/Usted) COME (Nosotros) COMEMOS (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) COMEN ~~~~~~~~~~~ Whenever we want to make an INFOMRAL command, we take the (Él/Ella/Usted) form. So, for example... "Eat the apple" is "COME la manzana." You get it? But again, that's how to make an INFORMAL command, for friends, and family. To make an FORMAL command (for strangers and adults), we need to take the (Él/Ella/Usted) form. COME. And THEN we need to change the LAST letter. If the last letter is an E, change it to an A. If the last letter is an A, change it to an E. COME ends with E. Change it to an A. Now we have COMA. COMA is FORMAL. "COMA la manzana" means "Eat the apple." (FORMAL)
