OpenStudy (perl):

I am stumped. Change the parametric equation x= 4sin(t) + 2sin(2t) , y = 4cos (t) + 2 cos(2t) to a polar equation. I was thinking eliminate t from the parametric, to make a cartesian, then plug in the polar coordinate conversions. but i cant eliminate t. i got x^2 + y^2 = 20 + 16 cos (t),

OpenStudy (perl):

i was thinking we could go from parametric -> cartesian -> polar

OpenStudy (perl):

but i got as far as that. i did x^2 + y^2 = 20 + 16 cos (t)

OpenStudy (perl):

after simplifying

OpenStudy (perl):

but i cant eliminate that t

OpenStudy (perl):

oh hi guys
