Question

I need some similarities between Kate Chopin's life and the things that happen in her stories (i.e events, settings, characters.)

I have found quite a few things in The Awakening, like:
-Grand Isle, Kate Chopin actually visited there.
-She's from New Orleans...or Louisiana where her story (and a lot of other stories) takes place.
-Edna and Kate came from a French decent; or Kate is from French decent (her grandmother), and Edna is French....I'm not exactly sure.
