Determine the angle of inclination of each line. Express the answer in both radians and degrees. In cases in which a calculator is necessary, round the answer to two decimal places. (a) 3x − y − 3 = 0 (b) 3x + y − 3 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for y=?. The number in front of the x is the slope. For a, you get y=3x-3, so the slope is 3. The arctan of the slope is the angle of inclination.

Thanks, For (a) I got 1.25 for the radians, and 71.57 for the degrees. But I don't get (b)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do the same thing, solve for. y=-3x+3, slope is -3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for (b) -1.25 and -71.57, or does it change?

That's it :)

Thank You so much! :)
