OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh Im sorry
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Evaluate the funct
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What do you mean by evaluate? It's a function. You give it a value of x, and it defines a corresponding output number.

X=-1 and X=9
Sorry i forgot that part
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hahaha. yeah, that's the part that makes it a question...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
haha, sorry about that
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay, so the function gives you a rule for what value it takes, depending on what value of x you give it. If you give it x=-1, then you look at the rule to determine what value the function assigns to it...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is 6 < -1? is 5 < -1 <= 6? is -1 <= 5? Exactly one of those should be true (for it to be a function...) and then the function tells you which value to be assigned...
