Help please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, it takes a bit of solving and reading carefully to find the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so RS=5 Perimeter=3 times RS = 3 x 5 = 15 but the perimeter is the whole thing RS+ST+RT RS+ST+RT=15 you are given RS and ST now find RT.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you do this correctly, you should get the correct answer from the above options you gave.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesyes, you are on the right track.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you need to subtract something else and that is ......?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, that is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you get it though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The perimeter is the sum of all of the sides. We know two sides and the total. RS + ST + RT = 15 RS=5 and ST=7 is given. 5 + 7 + RT = 15 RT = 15 - 5 - 7 RT = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeh, that is why drawings are usually said to be "not drawn to scale," like even if they might look bigger in the picture they might not be, they should always state this but they don't all the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem, medal thanks!! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanksthanks.
