Is anybody familiar with Diophantine equations? If so how should I go about trying to find the minimum x value solution for the equation: x^2-D*y^2=1. For all D values in the range: 2<=D<=1000. I am not looking for an answer just a method that isn't brute force, I can implement a computer program to execute this method.
