If an atom has 3 electrons outside of its nucleus, which combination of protons and neutrons would result in a neutral atom?

um I'm not sure about this answer ^_^" but neutrons don't contribute to the overall charge of the nucleus since they don't have a charge

to have a neutral atom the number of protons has to be equal to the number of electrons

so 3 protons?
