sinx(cscx)/tanx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about it

zepdrix (zepdrix):

lol pete :o

zepdrix (zepdrix):

For this problem, to simplify, you'll want to change everything to sines and cosines. So you'll need to remember a few identities :)\\[\large \csc x=\frac{1}{\sin x}, \qquad \tan x=\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got to 1*cosx*sin^2s/sinx

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\huge \frac{\sin x(\csc x)}{\tan x} \qquad \rightarrow \qquad \frac{\sin x\left(\frac{1}{\sin x}\right)}{\left(\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}\right)}\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\huge \frac{1}{\left(\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}\right)} \qquad \rightarrow \qquad \frac{\cos x}{\sin x}\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm I think you get something like that.

Oh jesus that was simple, I overlooked the sin*1/sin cancellation. thanks!
