I have two questions this time :D <3
@iluvlucy
1. angle PQT
for the first one, break up the triangles to get |dw:1354998103511:dw| the drawings are a bit off, but you get the idea
what letter is on both triangles?
Q
so the angle will be __Q__ where the blanks that surround the Q will be replaced by letters (so it's going to be something like SQT, PQT, or TQP...basically...we just want Q in the middle)
Oh that makes sence
the only angle of the 4 choices where this happens is PQT, so that's why the answer is A
okay and what about number two?
you are given triangle ABD = triangle CDB and you want to prove that triangle ABE = triangle CDE
so how can you use what you're given to prove that triangle ABE = triangle CDE
any ideas?
So what you need to look at is what you need from the fact that triangle ABD=CDB
So think of things that triangles ABE and CDE share with triangles ABD and CDB
So do you need to know that <DCE=<BAE? No. how about <A=<C? No because it'l looking at the whole angle AD=BC? no, that's not in the triangle So the last one AB=CD is right because it will help you prove that triangle ABE=CDE
Does that make sense?
ohhh gosh im not smart -.-
But do you get it?
yes now i do
Ok great! All you need is to practice similar problems multiple times, until you get the hang of it... A lot of these questions are just thinking logically, so you have to pay attention to details :-)
