How would I graph these inequalities?

For the first one, think of it as y=1/2x+2. That's just a line. Graph the line. Now figure out which side of the line y needs to be on to satisfy y<1/2x+2. Indicate that you want the y on that side. Do the same for the other inequality.

So for the first equation i start at 2 and then go up one & over 2 ?

It's linear, first of all. So it's a straight line. Can you see why that is?
