a cube consists of 64 white unit cubes. all exterior faces of the cube except the bottom face are painted red. how many of the unit cubes have exactly two faces painted red?

so your number of cubes on each side would be 4....



so you get 2 cube on each edge of the cube that have two sides painted red..

there are 12 edges so then you get 24 cubes painted red
