a sphere has volume 36 pi ft^3. what is its total area? a.72 pi ft^3 b.18 pi ft^3 c.36 pi ft^3 d. 32/3 pi ft^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area is in units-squared (i.e., \(\text{ft}^{2}\)), so they're all wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it is ft^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

geoff is right... but the volume of a sphere is 4/3pir^3 so 4/3pir^3 =36pi Solve for r r=3 Area of a sphere ..hmm sorry dont remember formula all i can think of is pir^2 but thats a circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of a sphere is \(4 \pi r^2\).

thank you
