The given points (2, -3), (-7, -7), (2, -7), and (-7, -2) make a square. A. Definition of coordinate B. Pythagorean Theorem C. Definition of a square D. Definition of supplementary angles E. Distance Formula F. unfounded

|dw:1355038649677:dw| this is what I get this has 4 sides so it's still a square right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should C. definition of a square be the answer?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

To show that it's a square, you have to show that all 4 angles are 90 degree angles and you have to show that all sides are congruent

OpenStudy (aripotta):

that's not a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok so then the answer should be F. unfounded !!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this is what you get when you plot the points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yupp! thats what I got too. so that means that is not a square because all 4 angles are not 90 degrees

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

exactly, plus the 4 sides aren't congruent to each other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yupp so that makes the answer F because it is not a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right..?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes that's what I would go with too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 thank you!!
