OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whts the final answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angleA=-20 angleD=-40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ikr , same here but those are the values i got for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle a=85 angle d= 48.33333 not100% on this one babe...Sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol. babe...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I made a mistake I think

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm that was a weird way of doing that chem :) But it looks like it worked out ok. Since BE BISECTS AD, it tells us that the measure of angles A and D are equal. So we can say, x-40 = 3x-100 Which will still get you to x=30 I think :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya but if you plug that in you get D=-10

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Oh i see what you're saying :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I feel like my math is sound but the answer doesn't make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says it is a segment bisector not an angle bisector. I cannot assume that ABE = ADE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i agree with that zepdrix and i get 30 for value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still think that 30 cannot be the correct answer. You cannot have a negative angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What a TERRIBLE PROBLEM!!! The answer is 30. My first solution was correct. wow!

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yah it doesn't look right :\ I'm not sure though..
