what does log base 3125 of 5 equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know you need to change the 3125 to 5^5, but I'm a little confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simply 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, that's what I was thinking, but my textbook says the answer is 0.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no it is 0.2 only read it carefully log base 3125

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so log base (5^5) of 5, but the log base 5 and 5 cancel out which leaves me with 5... so what am I doin wrong?
