Use compatible numbers to estimate the quotient of 706.3 ÷ 9.9.
What level of math are you in? That could determine what are considered 'compatible mumbers'. The problem could be easily enough estimated by rounding to the nearest whole number and dividing 706 by 10, but if they want a whole number for an answer you have a different issue.

1. Garrett is 64 inches tall. How many centimeters tall is he? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. 1 in. = 2.54 cm (1 point) 25.2 cm 162.6 cm 156.8 cm 86.4 cm
Well... You could get a whole number answer by rounding 706.3 all the way up to 710, but that would mean adding almost 4, whereas you just added .1 to the 9.9 term. It would, however, give you a whole number answer.
That's a different question, I'd post a new question for that so it can get other eyes.
im sorry
