YOU'LL GET A FAN AND MEDAL IF YOU ANSWER THIS QUESTION :) what is the midpoint of a segment with the endpoints a(5,-1) b(-3,7)
To get the x coordinate of the midpoint, do (x1+x2)/2, for the y coordinate (y1+y2)/2
idk how to do any of it... can you give me the answer? :)
I can show you how to do it,
thank you so much
Okay so think of your coordinates as (x1,y1) (x2,y2) so the x coordinate of the midpoint is going to be (x1+x2)/2 or (5-3)/2
they dont have a drawing of it lol... but ik my answer choices are (1,3) (0,4) (2,4) or (-1,-2)
Yeah, doing (5-3)/2 gives you the x coordinate of it
okay so i got 1 :)
whwhat do do for the y?
(-1+7)/2
okay I got 2. My answer choice is -1,-2...so they're supposed to be negative then? lol
-1+7=6 6/2=3 so your final answer is (1,3)
