Again, this question is just like the other ones. 41 - 8x = -6x - 23 We'll add +8x and +23 to both sides of the equation to cancel out the -23 and the -8x. 41 - 8x = -6x - 23 +23 +8x +8x +23 ------------------ 64 = 2x So 64=2x. Now we'll divide both sides by 2 to get a lone x 64/2 = 2x/2 64/2 = x 32 = x So x = 32.
