starting on the positive x-axis and moving 1/3 of the way around a circle that has a radius of 3m, how far would one travel a. 3.14m b. 360m c. 6.28m d. 0.69m ... how did you arrive to this answer?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

first find the circumference of the circle with a radius of 3 meters

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

then take 1/3 of that result because you're only moving 1/3 of the way around the circle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you need the formula for the circumference, it is C = 2*pi*r

thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 6.28 m

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that's correct
