The perimeter of this rectangle is?
I'm pretty sure it's 130 in but just making sure.
46 inches? all you have to do is multiply the sides you're given by two and add them together 2*10=20 2*13=26 20+26=46
how are you getting 130?
remember that when you try to find the perimeter of a rectangle the formula is 2*length+2*width
i multiplied the two cuz i always thought it was l(w) but i guess not here
and they wanted units so how do i find that
length*width is for the area of a square/rectangle
since a rectangle has four sides you add each side length to get the perimeter
oh i got area and perimeter backwards then
for units its area so then it would be 130. right?
its easy to confuse them, try to write the formulas down in a notebook in order to easily access them when needed
yeah i just did :)
good :) good luck to you with your math
units means area though right? and thanks :P
units means what type of units you are using for the measurement of your perimeter, meters, feet, inches, millimeters, centimeters, kilometers, etc.
oh haha blonde moment thank you
no problem
I really need help with a question but no one seems to be responding, can someone help me?
I might be able to, what's the question
what question?
i only have a little bit of time, so i may or may not be able to help
A scooter was purchased for $1,000, the value depreciates at an annual rate of 15%. Write an exponential formula and graph the function. Then using the graph determine how long it will take for the value to fall below $100
I already found that the formula is V(1)=1000(1-0.15)^t but I cant find the value of t
Hold on just a minute
*V(t)=1000(1-0.15)^t not V(1)
You need to graph that, right?
Or have you already
yeah but i dont have a graphing calculator and wolfram alpha doesnt give the right graphing points
well for exponential equations the base has to be the same. So does the v equal 1000? If yes then you can pretty much solve from there by setting them equal to each other
then one you find t just plug it in
The question is asking at what point will the value of the scooter cost $100, so basically i just need to graph it, thank you for your help though :)
oh i started overthinknig im sorry lol
its okay haha, its confusing because i keep getting an answer thats around 15.35 but none of the answers match it
Have you eliminated any answers?
yeah i think the answer is about 14.2 years, thank you for helping me hahaha i bumped my question to the top about five times and no one else would help me
I got 15.7 so I'm probably not the best help im sorry (/.\)
thats about the same answer that i kept getting so i just found the closest number to match my answer, i hate math sooooo much
it can definitely get confusing.
