The units of measurement for surface area are always cubed? True?

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Nope. Length = Units to the first power. In other words, just regular units (no square, cubed, etc.) Area = Units squared (square feet, square inches, etc.) Volume = Units cubed (cubic inches, cubic feet, etc.)
