What is the slope of the line that passes through the pair of points? (1, 7), (10, 1) A. 3/2 B. -2/3 C. -3/2 D. 2/3

OpenStudy (amistre64):

slope is simple enough, first subtract one point from the other (10, 1) - (1, 7) ------- x, y then slope is equal to y/x can you tell me the values of x and y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk what it is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you need to have learned how to subtract by now ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B, -2/3 i took the test today :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remeber slope is rise over run, as well as the equation y = m x + b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks im trying to graduate this month and i have to do this stupid math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome i know the frustration :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y2-y1/x2-x1 = m (slope)
