write the polynomial in factored form.
2x^3-6x^2+4x

I factored it out to 2x(x^2-3x+2)
But I just need to know if you add or multiply to get -3

Not sure i understand what you mean, but the part in parentheses can be further factored into

2x(x-1)(x-2)
