Suppose dice were rolled 273 times. Find the mean and standard deviation for a sum of seven.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by 'for a sum of seven' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess 7 out of the 273 dice rolls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm still not sure what that means.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you taking seven of the dice rolls and summing them? Or what else? What's being summed? And is it being summed to equal seven? Or is it seven things that are being summed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

seven the of the dice rolls being summed i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's elementary statistics and this question has been really bothering me :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that the exact wording from the question you were given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well then I think the question is stupid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't make sense when worded like that.
