factor t^3 - 9t^2 + 24t -11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you get when t=1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about t=-1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you can't factorise it by an (x-a) where a is an integer. is the problem suppose to have a simple factorisation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, this is my problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How else could I solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe there's a tutorial here that teaches you to use the substitution(x=y-p/q) and y=sin theta
