find the slope containing the points (1,2) and (-2,-4)

OpenStudy (666potatoes):

The slope formula when you have two points is y2 - y1 / x2 - x1 So it would be -4 - 2 / -2 - 1 Finish it off from there.

-6/-3 = 2 m=2 .... y=2x+b ... am i done ?

OpenStudy (666potatoes):

Now plug in one of the points in that equation.

OpenStudy (666potatoes):

It depends if they asked for the whole formula or just the actual slope. If it's just the actual slope, it's just 2.

oh got it ! thank you so much :)
