On a plan of a house, a rectangular room is shown with sides of length 6cm and 8cm respectively. If the scale used is 1:80 what are the lengths of the room? Help ?

yup. its just 6*80 cm X 8*80 cm and u are done.

1:80 means 1 unit of plan = 80 units actual. so, breadth 6 cm plan = 6*80 cm is actual same for length

yup. whats 8x80 =... ? and 6*80 =... ? and don't forget to write cm as the unit.

is there a quicker way then drawing the box to a smaller scale and measuring it that way ?
