Which formula represents the hyperbola on the graph attached?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

graph!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

asnwer chocies A,B,C,D from top to bottom :) idk :(

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what's the center of the graph's hyperbola?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,-2?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the center of the graph's hyperbola looks like (-3, 2) actually

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so that rules out choices A and B

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oops i mean just A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh really?? oops my bad!! and okay, so how do we decide between C and D? or B,C and D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wiat isn't it B too?? since B is also -3,2??? making the center for that, 3,-2, but isn't our center -3,2??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I think it's C because that has the center (-3, 2) and it is the only one with that center that has a horizontal transverse axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the answer is C (like definitely??) cuz of that?? :D

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah i think so

kk thanks! :)
