find the maximum y value on the graph of y=f(x)...f(x)=x^2+4x+10, I got -14 can someone tell me if I'm right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no maximum y value, this is a parabola opening upwards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that answer @CalebBeavers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When the x^2 is positive the parabola opens upwards and there is only a minimum value when the x^2 is negative the parabola opens downwards and there is only a maximum value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it wants an integer or simplified frction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do I put 0 @CalebBeavers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure the problem said maximum and not minimum?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it says maximum
