What is the value of X in the right triangle?
|dw:1355291159145:dw|
I know your suppose to use a^2 + B^2 =C^2 but i dont know the proper steps
Substitute a = 4 Substitute B = 6 Solve for C = X = ? Please note: The problem statement uses "X". Your drawing uses "?". Your formula uses "C". These three things are the SAME! You will be far less confused if you use consistent notation and labeling.
if i knew how to do it , i wouldn't be asking.
4^2 * 6^2 = X^2 X^2 = 52 X =\[\sqrt{52}\]
4 = 16, 6=36 c= 52 , how the hell did i get \[2\sqrt{13}\]
1) That is not a good response. We all know that. One might be encouraging to think about it, consider the problem from beginning to end, and learn something along the way. 2) You said you wanted steps. I spelled them out. What I didn't do is the work that you should have done. Now, it's too late. Someone else already did it for you. You would have learned more if you had done it yourself.
alright hunny thanks, -.-
\[\sqrt{4 * 13}\] = \[\sqrt{52}\] get 4 out of the radical and u get 2\[\sqrt{13}\]
Thanks frkd!
lol sorry if I messed up ur work tkhunny
frkd no you didnt now i understand how to do the problem
tkhunny's response felt condescending, which is why i replied the way I did.
Too bad FRKD won't be there for your exam. It would be heart-warming to see you do another, similar problem so one could be encouraged that you learned something, rather than just managed to get someone else to do your homework.
hey tkhunny, r u good with calc?
neither will you tk hunny, which is why i wanted to learn how he got the answer so i would know better. not try to show off that i know something to make someone feel bad, which again is why i called you condescending.
I have experience in may areas. I do annoy people, at times, when they just want an answer (contrary to forum guidelines) and they won't show me any of their own work.
u sometimes learn better with a walkthrough
I don't care, its not like i don't have the answer in front of me. if i just wanted the answer i wouldn't be on such a website.
we all have different ways of learning, i am a concrete learner. which is why i find it helpful to know the problem and how they got it, not to be told and looked down upon for looking for help.
There is not a single thing I posted the is necessarily condescending or arrogant. One can take it any way one would like, I suppose. You cannot underline a phrase and claim, ""This is looking down on me." You can't do it. Just learn! If you get a question, rather than a demonstration, is it really that hard just to answer the question? A walk-through can be of value. The student should FIRST demonstrate where the walk-through should start. Without showing any work at all, it is very unlikely to be helpful.
i don't care go away, you've said what you wanted to say to prove some superiority complex. i get it go away.
lol
calm down guys
now, tkhunny, can u take a look at my question? :D
i am telling him to go away because his input is no longer welcome and he keeps talking to me i blocked him already.
ouch
There remains nothing of the nature that you accuse. Please reexamine your motivation for learning and interacting. Seriously, review what I have written on this thread and rethink how you feel about it. You will find only helpful and thoughtful instruction if you are objective. If you remember only that you chose to be insulted, the first time, that is all you will remember the second time. Please do better. No additional calm required, but thank you for your encouragement and the vrief discussion.
again, i tell you regardless of your side of the story or intention. i do not care for your input. this isn't up for a debate. i came here for help you weren't helping me
you just want the last word.
