Write the equation of the circle centered at (6,-9) that passes through (8,-19)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know it looks like (x+6)^2+(y-9)^2=?, I don't understand how to apply the (8,-19).

Ok I see, thanks again man. I got the Answer^^ above from square rooting 104. Which was 10.198.....etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer key via internet, is (x+6)^2+(y-6)^2=10.19... but as far as the actually test, my professor will accept both. Ideally I would use 104 as well.

Agreed, my professor even admits the online services we use for quiz's are faulty in terms of accepting the correct answers.
