f(x)=-2x^3-4x^2+3x-8, use the remainder theorem to determain f(-1)

hartnn (hartnn):

to get f(-1), just replace 'x' in f(x) by -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can on of you guys help me :D

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, i think the question states to use remainder theorem, means you need to divide f(x) by x+1, and the remainder would be f(-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-13?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, thats correct, but make sure you divided f(x) by x+1 to get the remainder as -13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you (:
