difference between nucleic acids and proteins

nucleic acid has the blueprint of what to be produced and what not. it is a genetic material which codes for proteins and RNA (mRNA , rRNA, tRNA) protein is the product of a gene. they control varies reactions in our cell by acting as an enzyme . they other roles also - motor protein , immunoglobins, hormones , transport protein etc...
