OpenStudy (annipuppi):

1. Solve using two different methods. Explain which method you found to be more efficient. a. 3x-9y=3 6x-3y=-24 b. 7x-3y=20 5x+3y=16 c. Y=0.5x-6 2x+6y=19 I don't understant this. Can you guys help me step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the two methods are: 1)substitution solve one of the two equations in the system for a variable. Then take what that variable is equal to and plug it into the second equation 2) subtraction Line up the two equations like you would for any other subtraction. Get it so that one of the variables will cancel out. (note you may have to multiply the entire equation to get it so it cancels) Make sense?

OpenStudy (annipuppi):

yeah.
